Bucket List Events:

Here are MAIN Project, we like to look at new and exciting ways to get people involved in our fundraising events, so for our more adventerous fundraisers we have a selection of thrilling, exciting, innovative, once in a life time expereinces, which people can sign up to take part in. 

Not only are we excited that we are supporting people to do that one thing they have always dreamed of doing but thought was impossible or a "maybe one day" thing, but it also helps to raise the profile of the charity and, ultimately, increasing our funding which goes right back to our beneficiaries.

So have a look below, see if there is an event that you would like to sign up for, places are limited however so don't wait around, today is the day!

Inca Trail:

Who hasn't dreamed of one day taking part in the Inca Trail?  Hiking up to Machu Picchu?  Seeing yourself the sights many only dream of?  Well dream no longer - MAIN Project are organising their first ever Inca Trail expedition, we have ten places available, so book quick as demand will be high.  MAIN Project will be supporting any parties interested in participating with their fundraising efforts, but you will need to be determined to ensure you raise the full amount, plus hopefully a little extra to support the charity too.

Boulby Mine & Sacfell Pike Trek: 

Ok, so following the Inca Trail, I'm guessing this sounds less than impressive?  Guess again...

Boulby Mine is deepest in the UK and 2nd deepest in Europe.  We are arranging tours of 6 people per trip.  The trek will consist of hiking to the deepest point in UK, so....self propelled....walk 10k under the sea to the bottom of the shaft (come up in the cage - only part not self propelled but impossible to do otherwise) then bike ride to Scafell Pike (which will take about 2 days) then climb Scafell....deepest to highest in UK   This is anticipated to be an extremely popular event due to its rarity and the mine is the venue for world renowned research into the dark matter project - the origins of the earth.

Sky Dive: 

Are you a bit of a dare devil?

Would you like to do a sponsored skydive and help The MAIN Project?

There are two options:

The Jumps:

Solo Static Line - £330.00 sponsorship required.

If you want to be in control of the parachute and jump out of an aircraft steering the parachute down by yourself, maybe this is for you. After a days tuition you will be ready to jump on your own.
Included in the course fee is British Parachute Association insurance. If you require personal accident insurance this can also be arranged.

Tandem Skydive - £330.00 sponsorship required.

Enjoy the flight in an aircraft to 12 thousand feet, checking out the views on the way up before sliding to the edge of the door attached to one of our Qualified Tandem Instructors. You freefall for up to 50 seconds before the parachute opens at about 5500 feet above the ground. Enjoy the cruise back down to earth.
Included in the course fee is British Parachute Association insurance. If you require personal accident insurance this can also be arranged.
